Sparring from someone who has sat in your chair

I co-founded a company, grew it from 3 to 50 people as CTO and raised three VC rounds. I know what these decisions feel like from the inside — and I’ll tell you what I actually think.

02 / why me

What makes this different

I’m not a career consultant. I’ve built the team, carried the pager, pitched the investors and cleaned up the tech debt — often in the same week. That’s the perspective you get: operator first, advisor second.

Startups have shaped my whole career: it started back in 2011 when I co-founded blogfieber.com as a student — it didn’t take off because the team didn’t match, the earliest and most valuable lesson of all: team wins. A year later I joined Grünspar, a Münster-based e-commerce startup, as a working student in product management — it later exited successfully to energy company EWE.

When talking to business founders, that dual fluency matters most — I translate between what the business needs and what the tech can deliver, in both directions, without losing anything in between.

What others say

“As a CTO, Jonas gave me a fresh perspective on leadership — one that pushes, enables and grows the team rather than just commanding. He built a culture of ownership, accountability and teamwork that made it feel good to be part of the team. I’m confident that any role Jonas takes on becomes a positive transformation: better results, a better culture and a better sense of purpose.”

“Once a founder, always a legend.”
